About That Corgi Blog
Dear Readers,
My name is Sean Deaton and welcome to That Corgi Blog!
That Corgi Blog was born out of the love of my corgi, Monty.
I would do anything for my pup. I'm sure many of you feel the same way. In 2023, he tore his ACL in his back right knee. While a fairly common injury in dogs, it made me realize just how fragile and precious he is to me.
I don't want to take anything for granted. For that reason, I want to provide the very best life for him and help others to do the same for their dog, corgi, or otherwise.
Why Read That Corgi Blog?
I'm a corgi owner myself. My partner and I have had our corgi, Monty, since January 2021. We drove down to South Carolina to pick him up from a family friend when he was around nine months old.
First-Hand experience. I only write about things I'm familiar with or have researched extensively (and no, Pinterest posts do not count as sources).
Writing quality. I'm seeking to improve my public writing. So while I guess I won't promise superb writing, I will promise you to write all of my own posts.
Entertainment. Because I write all of my own posts, I also only write posts that I would want to read. The main point of this blog is not to make money, so I'm not beholden to any company or required to write positive reviews. I'm here to write informative, helpful, and entertaining posts for you to enjoy.
I want to hear from you. There's a real person behind these words. Me! I think connecting with others is important. I won't ignore my readers. If you comment here, I will respond. While I have other social media accounts, like YouTube and Instagram, I can't promise the same over there. In 2023, I'm definitely trying to reduce my social media usage.

Fresh content, delivered.
I previously attempted to publish on a set schedule, where a new post would come out every Friday. This was more challenging than I realized. So while I won't commit to certain dates, I can promise to always be thinking of the next topic. Of course, if you let me know your e-mail, this will be directly delivered to your inbox as soon as a post goes live.
Privacy is important to me. For that reason, I will never sell your personal information or e-mail address. If you don't like what I have to write about, or you're just tired of getting e-mails, you can unsubscribe at any point.

Outside of the blog.
I'm a computer security researcher by trade. I like to find vulnerabilities in closed-source software. If you're interested in that work, you can find me occasionally posting on my personal blog or on GitHub.
